The benefits of water for our health are given below.
Water enters into the cell composition and helps to perform its functions properly. Water maintains the integrity of the cell membrane. It helps in cell cycle and cell division, in that case, it helps in organ and body growth. It maintains thermal regulation of the body. Water enables to release heat when the ambient temperature is higher than normal body temperature and gives a cooling effect to the body.
Water transports nutrients and oxygen to the organs and tissues and removes wastes products and toxins from the body by urine, sweat, and by stool. It helps in proper digestion, absorption, and metabolism. Digestion starts with saliva, which is actually water and saliva contains enzymes that help to break down food and liquid and to dissolve minerals and other nutrients. Proper digestion makes minerals and nutrients more accessible to the body. Water is also necessary to help to digest the soluble fiber. The fiber dissolves easily and the bowel movements occur smoothly with the help of water and proper bowel making well-formed, soft stools that are easy to pass.
